Crossblades, Vroom and Thunderwing make up the Mega Pretenders, a series of highly sought after Transformers. The concept of the "Mega" pretender is that the outer shell can also transform, as opposed to being just a cocoon-like husk, like in the case of the regular pretenders. The outer shell and the inner robot can also combine to form a third vehicle which is unique to this line as well.

Vroom tends to be less desirable, the only reason I can think of being that his colors are kind of bland, and his shell looks a little lamer than Crossblades. Overall though, none of them look stellar. Check out the back of the box image, to see the illustration of all three going at it!

This piece was obtained from a collector who bought one of every Transformer made in the 80's, and decided to part with the collection.
