C-125 to C-130 are the trainbot singles that form Raiden.
None of these were released in the US, and each is modeled
after the "shinkansen" or bullet train in Japan.
A monumental achievement in mass transit transportation
in Japan, this innovation is hardly appreciated in the US,
a land dominated by Ford and Chrysler. As such, stateside
never saw this cool combiner, much to the dismay of many
collectors. The giftset's box alone features some of the
best artwork ever to don a Transformer package. Most collectors
don't realize though, but these guys are actualy very small.
Raiden also isn't the best looking or most durable combiner
once combined, but still kinda cool and I'm sure the kids
in Japan loved him. The trainbots had two releases in Japan,
supposedly because of their popularity. They were assigned
different numbers the second time around, and had different
packaging designs. Also, the packaging is extremely small
for what is contained inside. The packages when sealed look
ready to explode.
Trainbots List:
C-125 Shouki
C-126 Getsui
C-127 Yukikaze
C-128 Suiken
C-129 Seizan
C-130 Kaen
I obtained this piece from the private collection of a
collector in the US
